I recently started working at Cengage, so currently my day-to-day is learning as much as possible about all the ins and outs of the work I will be doing here. On my second day working here, I went to a meeting about this website with no idea what the meeting was about beforehand. Shortly into the meeting I figured it out, and now here I am, answering my bio questions!
When I was in third grade, we would get a newsletter that was designed with 1-inch columns of justified text. It was just as bad as you are imagining and, even at the age of 9, I hated the days we’d have to read them in class. I didn’t really understand what graphic design was until I started my design classes in college. I knew I wanted to do something art-related, and people said I would be good at graphic design, so I figured, why not? Fortunately, I ended up loving it, so it all worked out.
